Growing and selling from your own field needs no land conversion, but it does need a Krishi Card, which is the key to every Agriculture Department subsidy, the assured-price support and the Horticultural Corporation's procurement. A processing unit, a shop at the gate or a farm-stay is a different matter: those are buildings and businesses, and they pull in the conversion, licensing and food-safety steps from the other journeys.
