Terms of Use

Version 1 Nov 2026. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. What this website is

Dev Bare Karu (“the website”) is a general information guide about services of the Government of Goa. It describes, in plain language, the steps, offices, documents, fees, time limits and appeal routes that commonly apply to certain situations, based on publicly available official pages that are cited on each step. It is provided for general information only.

2. What this website is not

The website is not a government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the Government of Goa or any of its departments. It is not legal, professional, financial, tax or architectural advice, and no advocate–client or other professional relationship is created by using it. It does not file, submit, draft or process any application and takes no action on your behalf.

3. No warranty of accuracy, completeness or currency

Government rules, forms, fees, time limits, officers and procedures change, sometimes without notice, and official pages may themselves contain errors. Although each fact on the website quotes an official source and shows the date it was last checked, the website may be incomplete, out of date or wrong for your situation. Steps marked as a “decision” or “from practice” are not taken from an official page. Journey checklists are generated from general answers you give and cannot account for the particular facts of your case. All content is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

4. Your responsibility to verify

Before you act, pay, sign or rely on anything, you must confirm the current position with the office named on the step, with the official page cited, and, where the matter is legal, financial or technical, with a qualified professional such as an advocate, chartered accountant, architect or engineer. The official pages, Acts, Rules and Gazette notifications prevail over anything on the website.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of the website, and any person who contributes to it, shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, delay, penalty, rejected application, missed deadline or other consequence, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the website or its content, including any error, omission or outdated information. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

6. Third-party websites

The website links to official portals such as Goa Online and to department websites. Those sites are operated by others; the operator does not control them and is not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your information.

7. Acceptable use

You may use the website for your own lawful, personal information needs. You must not attempt to interfere with its operation, scrape it at a rate that harms its availability, or present its content as official advice to others.

8. Privacy

The website does not ask for or store your name, documents or personal details. What it does collect is described in the Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.

9. Changes

The operator may change the website or these terms at any time. When the terms change materially, you will be asked to agree again before continuing. The version date at the top of this page identifies the current terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory law to the contrary, the courts at Goa, India, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the website or these terms.

11. Reporting an error

If you find something on the website that disagrees with an official page, please tell the operator which step and which page; corrections are the fastest way to make the website better for the next person.
