Journeys

Privacy Notice

Version 1 Nov 2026. This notice describes exactly what the website collects, which is deliberately very little.

What we do not collect

The website has no accounts, no forms that send data to us, and no uploads. It never asks for your name, phone number, address, survey number, identity documents or any document. The answers you give in a journey are general categories (for example, which kind of local body covers a plot). They are computed in your browser and kept in the page address, so you can share or bookmark a checklist; they are not sent to us.

What is stored in your browser

Small preferences are kept in your browser’s local storage: that you agreed to the Terms of Use, that you read a journey’s note, which steps of a checklist you have ticked as done (kept for that set of answers only), your light or dark appearance choice, whether you completed the short survey, and a reviewer code if you arrived through an invitation link. Clearing site data removes all of them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which journeys and steps are used, with advertising features and personalisation signals switched off. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes data under Google’s terms. The events we send contain only the names of journeys, questions and the option chosen, never free text. If you arrived through an invitation link with a reviewer code, that code is attached to your events so that invited reviewers can be told apart; it identifies the invitation, not you.

Fonts and links

The interface fonts are served from this website itself; no font is requested from another company. Links to Goa Online and government websites take you to sites run by others with their own privacy practices.

Your choices

You can block analytics with a content blocker or by disabling cookies for this site; the website works fully without it. There is nothing to delete on our side because we hold nothing about you; a request about Google Analytics data can be made to the operator, who will delete the relevant property data where Google’s tools allow.
